- Support the HRBP to provide a highly effective people service, engaging all employees and volunteers to drive high performance and engagement.
- Ensure all people transactions are timely, accurate and professional including Pay and Reward, Policy, Sick Absence, Occupational Health and Recruitment.
- Build effective and trusted relationships and ensure all HR matters are resolved effectively and speedily to support operational excellence.
- Work with the Volunteering Advisor to identify and deliver policy and ways of working changes that drive the professionalism of the HR function to ensure we are an employer/volunteering organisation of choice.
- Remain aware of best practice and employment law changes across all jurisdictions, ensuring personal and team development to ensure consistency of approach.
- Ensure HR systems are maintained and that information is readily available and accurate.
- Work closely with centrally located subject matter experts and peers across the wider team
- Promote an inclusive and diverse culture across the organisation
- A relevant degree and CIPD qualification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a HR Generalist in a business partnering capacity working across all aspects of the employee life-cycle, including resourcing, employee relations, leadership development and coaching, compensation and benefits, talent management, organizational design, project and change management and HR compliance.
- Working with, and delivering against, fast paced operational needs with a practical approach and ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of providing diverse advice to managers on HR policy and people management issues.
- Good knowledge and practical application of employment legislation.
- Previous experience of updating policies in line with employment legislation updates.
- The ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Is an effective team player with a pragmatic approach to problem solving and a calm approach to a busy workload.
- Can handle sensitive or confidential information thoughtfully and has a good level of resilience.
- Has strong attention to detail and is a natural completer / finisher.
