- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules and establish baselines.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to meet tight deadlines and client specifications.
- Allocate resources (labour, materials, equipment) efficiently to prevent bottlenecks and ensure optimal utilisation
- Track project progress, identify critical path and advise on corrective actions.
- Collaborate with site managers, surveyors, and other professionals to resolve issues and achieve project milestones.
- Organise and coordinate the ordering, transportation and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Use scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Excel) to manage project data and reporting.
- Produce progress reports and forecasts for clients and stakeholders, highlighting key risks and milestones.
- Support change management processes by updating schedules and reallocating resources as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to business process improvement and the implementation of best practices.
- A third-level degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in project planning or scheduling within the industry.
- Proven track record managing project schedules.
- Experience with industry-standard planning tools and strong IT skills.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in construction planning and scheduling software (e.g. MS Project, Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced daily changing environment.
- Problem-solving skills to address delays, resource conflicts, and unforeseen site conditions.
