Our client is inviting applications for a Locum Consultant Paediatrician to join a dedicated paediatric team delivering high-quality care to infants, children, and adolescents within the HSE. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, patient-focused environment. The contract is starting 15 June 2026 for 6 months.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consultant-level care in general paediatrics across inpatient and outpatient settingsParticipate in acute paediatric services, including on-call rotaAssess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of paediatric conditionsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, allied health, and other specialtiesContribute to clinical governance, audit, and service developmentSupervise and support junior medical stafRegistration as a specialist in Paediatrics with the Irish Medical Council or eligibility for sameRelevant experience at consultant level (or equivalent)Strong clinical, organisational, and communication skillsCommitment to high standards of patient careDesirable CriteriaExperience in acute paediatrics or a relevant subspecialtyPrevious experience within the Irish healthcare systemInterest in teaching, training, and quality improvement initiatives
