Fund Accounting Senior Manager

Job Purpose:
The Fund Accounting Senior Manager will have management responsibility for a number of Fund Accounting clients and be the senior point of contact for Fund Accounting related matters with their clients.
Lead and manage a direct team in Dublin and manage oversight of several offshore locations, all focused on the day-to-day production of Valuations for various fund types.
The individual will have a strong customer service and operational focus and will provide an integrated, value-added platinum service to our clients.
Job Background/context:
Citi’s Global Fund Services Operation comprises Fund Accounting, Middle Office and Transfer Agency and is supported by c. 3,000 staff, globally.
Our Dublin Fund Accounting operation forms part of EMEA Fund Accounting and Global Fund Services, Dublin.
Supporting c 20 Clients, 500 Funds, $300bn AUA and producing over 30,000 NAV’s per month, the team consists of over 200 onshore and offshore Fund Accounting professionals, 50 of which are based in Dublin.
The Fund Services Operations has undergone significant transformation over the last 2 years and is entering the next phase of its strategic roadmap; to deliver market leading capabilities. As it relates to Fund Accounting, the role-holder is expected to play a significant part in defining and delivering these.

Client Responsibilities
- Act as a senior point of contact with customer for fund accounting issues.
- Present at service reviews and board meetings from a fund perspective
- Instil a client focus within the fund valuations operation, ensuring client queries, requests and product enhancements are dealt with in an efficient and appropriate manner.
- Provide a consistently high level of service to our clients, which meets the agreed standard and is delivered within a stable & risk adverse operating environment by appropriately skilled resources
- Enhancing our clients’ lives through innovation that harnesses the breadth and depth of our information, global network, and world-class products
- Proactively identity and manage operational risk through leading specific process reviews
- Maintain a controlled, SOC1 operating environment that complies with operational standards
- Act as technical and knowledge resource to the team/business unit
- Engage the team; inspire brilliance in delivery and cost management
- Collaborate with technology and product teams to agree and prioritise programme goals and objectives
- Focus on operational streamlining, manual touch point reduction and automation
- Manage, coach and develop team members for their individual advancement and for the benefit of the team. In so doing, foster and maintain strong team spirit and a healthy working atmosphere.
- Lead a team of professionals to deliver the value add fund accounting business.
- Complete the annual and interim appraisal process.
- Identify, develop and retain key talent; own the succession plan for this group
- Manage the performance of staff, addressing poor performance sensitively and promptly and recognizing exceptional performance using the full range of supports within Citi
- Capacity planning and resource management to support the day to day business requirements and forward planning.
- Oversight of Fund Valuations
- Fostering of a “zero tolerance” attitude to price errors
- Lead and drive the change plan of initiatives within the operations to incrementally improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the function, setting challenging targets
- Actively monitor cost drivers and implement cost reductions initiatives identified. Reduce Operational Losses year on year
- Management of the off-shore locations

Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
- Extensive years working experience in Fund Accounting, at least 5 of which is managing people
- Proven track record and extensive knowledge of funds services and its processes
- Excellent leadership experience and skill set.
