- Continuous Development - Recognise that continuous development is essential for success in any role & proactively take steps to develop self and help others excel at what they do
- Strong working knowledge of the WCAG 2.2 'AA' guidelines, WAI-ARIA and HTML5.
- Understanding of how users with disabilities interact with digital applications, with or without assistive technologies and adaptive strategies.
- Experience working with accessibility automation and tooling, and an understanding of their limitations.
- Strong working knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptive strategies including desktop and mobile Screen Readers, Voice Input software, Braille Displays, Windows High Contrast Mode and Screen Magnification tools.
- Experience working in an Agile, cross-functional team, and an understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of accessibility legalisation such as ADA and the European Accessibility Act.
- Practical experience of implementing manual and automated accessibility testing methodologies.
