Job Description:This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in our Dublin office at least two times per week.The OpportunityThis position involves working in an agile environment on our Platform UX team which offers solutions that enable engineering teams to build a consistent, scalable and accessible user experience for our customers.You will be working alongside our Principal Accessibility Engineer to educate teams, support our customers, build quality software and uphold accessibility standards and processes across our product development lifecycle.This is an exciting opportunity to work in an area of huge importance, focus and growth within Workhuman, providing enormous scope to positively impact how we support our users with disabilities.What we can offer you:

  • An opportunity to support our customers and front-end teams with bug prioritisation and remediation advice.
  • An opportunity to participate in defining our accessibility roadmap and priorities.

  • Continuous Development - Recognise that continuous development is essential for success in any role & proactively take steps to develop self and help others excel at what they do
Achievements:
  • Strong working knowledge of the WCAG 2.2 'AA' guidelines, WAI-ARIA and HTML5.
  • Understanding of how users with disabilities interact with digital applications, with or without assistive technologies and adaptive strategies.
  • Experience working with accessibility automation and tooling, and an understanding of their limitations.
  • Strong working knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptive strategies including desktop and mobile Screen Readers, Voice Input software, Braille Displays, Windows High Contrast Mode and Screen Magnification tools.
  • Experience working in an Agile, cross-functional team, and an understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility legalisation such as ADA and the European Accessibility Act.
  • Practical experience of implementing manual and automated accessibility testing methodologies.
