- Responsible for the design and analysis of systems, products, and subsystems/circuits to specification, cost, budget, schedule, and quality goals.
- Responsible to diagnose issues of diverse scope with design, field performance, reliability and test yields of products and recommend/implement corrective actions to address
- Assumes responsibility for the success of the product/system in the customers' applications and recommend/implement corrective actions as needed
- Follows key engineering procedures including the Product Development Process and ECO process
- Implement best practices within a cross function design team to support appropriate level of process and review of the design process
- Work with our Advanced Development team to review technology readiness to launch new products
- Work with other cross functional teams such as our NPI, purchasing, quality, program & project management, finance, safety, production, and other teams as needed
- Builds peer to peer relationships within AE
- Location: Little Island, Cork, Ireland
- Environment: Standard office environment; uses electronic equipment and can work with high voltage
- Some domestic and international travel may be required
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Proven professional skills as an experienced engineer with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies/procedures
- Able to receive less instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Good verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead team members
- Experience with influencing and negotiating in complex situations
- Proven track record of getting products to market and providing technical leadership.

- Grounded in theory but also hands-on.
- At least 8 years' experience in related industries

- Previous Roles: Show a progression of technical responsibilities, creation of IP
- A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or similar) technical degree
- Advanced degree preferred
