Senior Payments Analyst (12-Month Contract)Location: Cork, IrelandThis role sits at the intersection of Accounts Payable and Treasury, demanding a professional who understands the flow of liquidity across multiple currencies and global banking platforms. As a senior member of the team, you will act as a "go-to" technical resource, ensuring the integrity of the payment lifecycle while fostering strategic relationships with global banking partners.Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of the payments process. Manage complex multi-currency bank accounts and oversee the end-to-end payment run process, including the resolution of rejected or returned payments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for global banking partners, ensuring seamless communication and operational excellence in disbursement activities.
  • Serve as the representative for global P2P projects. Collaborate with Global Process Owners to align local execution with the overarching corporate vision.
  • Perform rigorous Accounting Quality Reviews and root-cause analysis. Ensure 100% adherence to SOx and operational controls, integrating compliance into the DNA of daily activities.
  • Bridge the gap between P2P and other finance teams (General Accounting, O2C).
  • Identify systemic risks and implement process improvements to ensure high-value data flow to local affiliates.
  • Review key financial metrics and KPIs, communicating performance trends to management. Support the upskilling of the team through technical training and documentation updates.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3+ years of progressive experience within high volume fast paced environment, specifically focused on Treasury and Payments.
  • A formal Business or Accounting qualification is essential.
  • Working knowledge SAP and various Corporate Banking Portals.
  • Deep knowledge of AP Accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in a second European language is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience working within strict regulatory frameworks (SOx) and a deep understanding of record retention and audit protocols.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Data Analysis) and the broader Office suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and "active listening" skills. You must be able to manage high-pressure deadlines with a rational, empathetic, and solution-oriented approach.
