- Ensure adherence to company safety regulations and promote a safety-oriented culture;
- Collaborate with the safety coordinator to implement safety improvements and assist in investigating lost time incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions;
- Utilize Lean tools for process improvement to enhance manufacturing productivity, efficiency, and safety;
- Maintain ERP system BOMs and define standard work and operating procedures;
- Implement quality-related improvements in production, such as poka-yoke solutions and fixturing/tooling enhancements;
- Collaborate with value stream manager/leader to develop support structures and introduce New Product Introduction (NPI) processes;
- Manage continuous improvement efforts for quick changeover, standardized work, and workplace organization;
- Optimize material flow alongside the warehouse manager and ensure effective visual management from concept to implementation;
- Implement technical solutions for material handling and enhance inventory accuracy through efficient picking methods;
- Develop manufacturing build sequences, layout design, and cycle time charts;
- Lead Kaizen events and provide training on lean manufacturing tools and concepts;
- Manage technical improvement projects and waste reduction initiatives to streamline operations;
- Exemplify HIAB values and demonstrate leadership behaviors;
- Embrace change as an opportunity and effectively communicate complex strategies into actionable steps;
- Drive results in a global environment through effective decision-making and creating focus.
- Degree level in mechanical engineering;
- 3 to 5 years of industrial manufacturing and/or production engineering experience;
- Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical, Electrics/Electronics, Assembly work, Hydraulics, Work Instructions and Safe working practices;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to successfully transfer knowledge;
- Ability to work on own initiative, to come up with solutions and problem solving;
- Understanding of TAKT time and build implications;
- Computer Literacy, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint (experience in Microsoft Visio and Autocad/Solidworks/Pro-E(Creo) would be beneficial);
- An appetite for Personal self-development;
- Experience in using ERP systems;
- Flexibility in covering for other engineers in the M.E. team;
- Black belt in Six Sigma.
