The Engineer will focus on improving production efficiency through analysing current operations and working closely with the R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and H&S departments.This organisation has a global reach and are recognised as the world’s leading provider of on-load road handling equipment with a focus on sustainability. Constantly evolving and developing industry leading machinery with interesting future plans, it's a great time to join them!Great central location easily commutable from within Louth, Monaghan, Armagh, Down, Meath, parts of Cavan and north Dublin.Requirements:Mechanical Engineering Degree.Green Belt certified Lean Six Sigma, Black Belt will be an advantage.3+ years experience in manufacturing or production environment.Good knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, assembly processes, work instructions and safe working practices.Great communication and problem solving skills with an appetite to achieve goals and progress.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Provide engineering support and assist with improvements in production processes through analysing data and understanding current processes and needs.Work with R&D department and implement manufacturing of new products within optimum timeframes.Lead Kaizen events, including training and implementation of lean manufacturing tools and concepts such as 6S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance plus others.Manage, roll-out and write procedures for continuous improvement efforts.Look at possible future short and long-term issues and seek to identify or eliminate.
