- Preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly financial reporting and fund accounting data to immediate and ultimate parent company in accordance with tight deadlines, including developing comprehensive understanding with accounting cycle owners of the detail behind the figures being reported.
- Preparation of annual budget, result, balance sheet and KPI metrics for reporting to immediate and ultimate parent company in accordance with tight deadlines, including frequent and prompt delivery of revisions to budget data reflecting actual performance and sensitivity analyses.
- Ownerships of accounting cycles that populate trial balance.
- Support the team in the preparation and analysis of IFRS17 accounting numbers.
- Monitor the performance of unit linked funds and prepare appropriate reporting
- Maintenance of process documentation in accordance with documentation standards.
- Generation and verification of KPI type reports for senior management and the parent company.
- Provide support and cover as necessary for other team colleagues.
- Contributing to companywide projects to ensure delivery on strategic objectives of both the company and the insurance group.
- Support to up-line in relation to planning the immediate needs within team and assisting ad-hoc tasks as and when they arise.
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role where the tasks undertaken relate to the production of financial reporting and management information.
- Experience in the financial reporting space, deriving data from general ledger so as to deliver Income Statement and Balance Sheet data.
- Fully qualified accountant, or currently studying to become fully qualified (ACCA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Visual Basic.
- Excellent (English) communication skills;
- Financial statement analysis and corporate accounting;
- Knowledge of accounting and supervisory principles;
- Experience working at a financial institution with a foreign parent;
- IFRS Treatment.
- Investment markets knowledge, and more specifically unit linked funds, is not essential but advantageous
