Accounts AssistantJoin our fabulous team at The Fleet Hotel as an Accounts AssistantThe is an important position working closely with the Financial Controller Manager.About The FleetThe Fleet Hotel is a wonderful boutique style Hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Café, much loved by Dubliner's for decades. The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley's Café which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner's for generations.Role ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableMatch all invoices with purchases orders, receiving documents, packing slips, etc., ensuring that all billsrepresent authorised, legitimate purchasesProperly code and record expenses to the correct cost centre/general ledger account and obtainappropriate department head approvalsEnter all invoices/vouchers for payment processing in a timely mannerReconcile vendor statements on a monthly basis and handle vendor and internal inquiriesPrepare and check supplier payment run and ad hoc payments as required dependent on vendortermsMaintain up-to-date contact files and banking informationSet up new vendor accounts on Accounting systemPrepare A/P accrual at the month end with Financial ControllerAccounts Receivable / OtherLiaise with hotel management in monitoring the debtor ledgersFollow up with the debtors on the city ledger invoices settlementPerform regular lodgements reconciliations and complete Income Audit fileAssist with Bank and VAT reconciliationRespond to Supplier/Debtor issues in a quick and efficient manner to maintain a high level of customersatisfaction and quality service.Acting as cover for other roles in Finance when requiredAssist Finance team with various ad hoc duties when they arise.Participate in training programmes as required.Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varyingschedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel which can include day, evening or weekend shifts.PayrollReview Daily tab in Time Management System for completeness and correct any errors. Clarify anyquestions on time keeping in the week with the relevant HOD.Prepare exportAbout the roleRequirements1-2 years AP experienceExcellent time management skills ability to work under pressure.Strong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skillsIntermediate ExcelAbility to work on own initiative as well as part of a teamExcellent problem-solving skillsExperience with Procure Wizard and/or SUN is desirable but not essentialPerks and Benefits of working at The Fleet Hotel
