- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
- Lead service across sections including larder, pasta, mains and pass
- Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs
- Ensure prep is organised, service runs smoothly and standards are maintained at all times
- Maintain rigorous food hygiene and operational discipline
- Act as the link between senior chefs and Chef de Partie and Commis chefs
- Support the training and induction of new team members
- Help create a professional, respectful kitchen culture
- Lead by example through preparation, organisation and service
- Work alongside senior chefs to deliver a consistent, produce-driven menu
- Contribute ideas and techniques while maintaining the restaurant's identity
- Protect the integrity, presentation and quality of every dish
