Job Title: Healthcare AssistantLocation: Tuam, Galway ( Nursing home)Rates: €13.5- €18/H ( Night rates and Premium Sunday rates available)About the company:Access Healthcare is currently looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team in a nursing home in Tuam,Galway, where you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care. Join our dynamic and supportive organization, and help us deliver compassionate, high-quality healthcare solutions to those who need it most.Your responsibilities:Patient Care Support: Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to ensure patient comfort and well-being.Monitoring Patient Health: Observe and report any changes in patients’ conditions, including vital signs, and ensure accurate documentation of observations.Assisting Healthcare Professionals: Support nurses and doctors during medical procedures and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow and assisting with equipment preparation.Cleaning and Sterilizing: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient rooms, medical equipment, and hospital areas, following infection control protocols.Emotional and Social Support: Offer compassionate care, providing emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during their hospital stay.Requirements:

FETAC Level 5 or equivalent in a healthcare discipline ( minimum 3 core modules- care support, care skills and care of older person)
At least 6 months of relevant experience in an Irish healthcare setting is a must!
Familiarity with HIQA Standards
Ability to travel to Tuam
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Comfortable working in nursing home settings
