Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a long-established Irish main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across the West.The initial focus will be a commercial and retail development in Limerick, before moving onto further projects in Galway City and across the wider Limerick & Galway regions. You will be supported by experienced site and commercial teams, with a strong pipeline of secured work and clear long-term progression opportunities.Responsibilities
- Manage projects from initial set-up through to final completion
- Drive programme, cost control, quality, and overall delivery
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and external consultants
- Maintain clear project controls, reporting, and documentation
- Lead client meetings and provide regular progress updates
- Plan and manage labour, materials, and subcontractor resources
- Ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and quality systems
- Work closely with site teams to uphold health and safety standards
- Degree qualified in Engineering or related construction discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in a Project Manager role with a main contractor
- Proven delivery of medium to large-scale building projects
- Strong programme management experience using ASTA or MS Project
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders
- Solid contractual awareness and document interpretation skills
- Irish or UK experience required
