Summary:Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical organisation based in Cork, is seeking an Inventory Analyst to support manufacturing operations through effective inventory control and oversight, ensuring the availability, accuracy, and compliance of materials across multiple storage locations. This role will suit someone with a strong analytical mindset who is confident in challenging inventory-related decisions, particularly where there is financial or material impact, while working closely with cross-functional teams to drive inventory readiness, continuous improvement, and cost optimisation.Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee physical inventory and cycle counts across warehouse, manufacturing, and external storage locations
  • Review inventory trends, investigate discrepancies, and report findings to key stakeholders
  • Ensure raw materials are maintained in the correct stock status within ERP systems
  • Coordinate and verify the removal of expired raw materials and in-process inventory
  • Support reporting of key inventory metrics, including scrap, excess and obsolete stock, and overall inventory levels
  • Identify and support opportunities for cost savings and inventory optimisation
  • Review and support updates to standard operating procedures to ensure they remain effective and compliant
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOX, and internal documentation and regulatory requirements
  • Support the development and execution of raw material replenishment strategies
  • Identify and implement improvements in purchasing and stock control processes
  • Review and maintain min/max inventory levels based on capacity and demand planning
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including third-party logistics providers
  • Challenge and validate inventory adjustment requests from warehouse and operational teams, ensuring appropriate justification and consideration of both quantity and financial impact
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, or a related function
  • Experience in a GMP-regulated environment is strongly preferred
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems is desirable
  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers and/or manufacturing inventory processes is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools preferred
  • Understanding of SOX and inventory compliance requirements
