Location: Cork, Ireland (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite per week)
Contract: 6-month initial contract (strong potential for multiple extensions)
Sector: Energy / UtilitiesOverviewWe are seeking an experienced ERP Functional Analyst to join a leading energy sector client based in Cork. This role will support ongoing ERP system operations and play a key part in the transition and stabilisation of ERP services following a major implementation phase.This is a hands-on functional role suited to someone who can quickly step into a live environment, support business users, and bring structure and clarity to ERP processes. You will also contribute to the completion of ERP Phase 2 delivery, helping to embed improvements and ensure the system is effectively adopted across the business.Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day functional support for ERP systems across business units
- Act as a key point of contact for ERP-related user queries and issues
- Support the transition and stabilisation of ERP services post-implementation
- Backfill key ERP functional roles as required within the programme/team
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements
- Analyse and map current business processes, identifying gaps and inefficiencies
- Support the completion of ERP Phase 2 activities and deliverables
- Identify and recommend process and system improvements
- Assist in testing, data validation, and change activities where required
- Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and internal IT functions
- Strong experience in ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central or similar)
- Proven background in business analysis or ERP functional analysis roles
- Solid experience in process mapping and process improvement
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional ERP solutions
- Experience supporting ERP go-lives, upgrades, or transformation programmes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving project environment
- Strong problem-solving ability with a practical, "common sense" approach
- Clear communicator with good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Experience within the energy, utilities, or regulated environment
- Exposure to ERP Phase 1/Phase 2 programme delivery
- Understanding of finance, procurement, supply chain or asset management modules
- Experience supporting hybrid IT/business transformation programmes
