Key Responsibilities
  • Support the overall daily operation of the supermarket as part of the management team
  • Take ownership of recruitment, onboarding, and staff training processes
  • Manage employee relations, including performance management and absence management
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company HR policies
  • Support and coach department managers on people management best practice
  • Monitor staffing levels, rostering, and labour costs
  • Drive a positive culture focused on engagement, retention, and performance
  • Ensure high standards across customer service, store presentation, and operations
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in a retail management role (Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar)
  • Strong exposure to HR or people management within a retail environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage both operational and people-focused responsibilities
  • Highly organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
