  • Lead and manage daily operations of the residential service, ensuring compliance with Children First Act 2015, Health Act 2007, Care and Welfare Regulations 2013, and Tusla National Standards.
  • Supervise, guide, and support your team, promoting a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
  • Oversee individual care planning, key working, and goal setting.
  • Participate in on-call management rotas and service development initiatives.
  • Support the setup and ongoing development of new services (Deputy Manager role).
Key Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 7 or higher in Social Care (CORU-approved or equivalent) or Social Work; management qualification preferred/enrolled (for SCM).
  • Experience:
  • SCM: 3–4+ years post-qualification in children’s residential care.
  • Deputy: 3+ years social care experience, with supervisory experience or acting as PIC.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
  • Trauma-informed and positive behaviour support practices.
  • Knowledge of HIQA/Tusla inspections, Irish legislation, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Other:
  • Full, clean manual driving licence.
  • Crisis intervention/de-escalation training (TCI, PMAV, MAPA, or equivalent).
  • First Aid, Fire Safety, and Manual Handling certifications.
