In this role you will be working as part of the Meat RD&A team based in Naas, developing and optimising new products in line with customer briefs.Role location can be flexible across Europe.Key responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to develop market suitable products in line with customer briefs, utilising the Kerry portfolio
- Develop equipment and processing expertise in-house and at customer facilities, demonstrating the ability to problem solve and work through challenges to bring new products successfully through the scale-up process
- Deliver best-in-class process expertise and support to our customers to help drive continuous improvement of their in-market products
- Support internal and external scale-up production trials for new product developments
- Ensure prompt reporting of trial results and feedback
- Develop a strong business acumen and market understanding of the Foodservice market
- Support the wider Development & Applications team with customer projects and presentations as required
- Build strong relationships with key contacts within your customer base
- Frequent travel is required as this is very much a customer-facing role
- BSc in Food Science / Technology or other such related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the food industry
- Previous experience of processing & knowledge of food manufacturing, ideally Poultry and/or Red Meat, is desired
- Experience in developing meat coating systems and seasonings is desired
- Be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of Flavours and Food Preservation systems
- Full training will be provided
- Full driving licence is required
- Teamwork is essential, and the role requires excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to share learnings, manage timelines & report results
- Ability to work cross-functionally and with other departments and teams
- Able/open to frequent travel
- Able to demonstrate skills at prioritising your work and managing a variety of projects/briefs
- Have a passion for food and the ability to confidently present products and information to customers
- Possess excellent organisational and PC skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel)
