This is a permanent, full-time position based in Dublin or Cork, Ireland. The Deputy HV WPM will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of EirGrid’s offshore programme.The Deputy HV WPM will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective delivery of the high voltage works package for the Offshore Phase 2 project. This will include managing procurement, design, interface and construction activities. Ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and statutory requirements.The role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and the capability to engage with senior stakeholders across EirGrid. The successful candidate will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy.The Team
The Chief Transformation & Technology Office (CTTO) is responsible for driving innovation, digital transformation, and strategic technology delivery across EirGrid. It plays a central role in enabling the organisation to meet its decarbonisation and infrastructure goals through the deployment of modern systems, data intelligence, and programme governance frameworks. The Offshore Phase 2 sits within this office, ensuring alignment between technology strategy and offshore programme execution.About you
Successful candidates will have:Proven experience managing high voltage works on major infrastructure projects.Experience in work package management within EPC contractor or principal contractor environment.Proficiency in the design and operation of HVAC systems, power electronics, and control systems. Knowledge of simulation tools.Proven experience in EPC interface management and engineering coordination on large infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of HVAC systems, commissioning protocols, and regulatory compliance.Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.Familiarity with project scheduling tools and interface milestone tracking.Ability to manage complex technical issues and drive resolution across multi-disciplinary teams.DesirableExperience working in regulated utility environments.Knowledge of EU funding and governance frameworks.Experience with offshore transmission systems and marine construction interfaces.Closing date for applications
