- Act as the lead technical contact for the site, ensuring all food safety and quality standards are maintained.
- Work closely with production, general, and dispatch managers to ensure compliance across all departments.
- Maintain and continually improve the site’s Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
- Oversee certification and customer audits, managing corrective actions within agreed timelines.
- Handle customer complaints, investigate root causes, and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with DAFM, BRC, and customer-specific requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food safety and product quality.
- Promote and develop a strong Food Safety Culture across the site.
- Coach, mentor, and support technical team members, ensuring high performance.
- A degree in Food Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Previous experience managing food safety and quality within a food manufacturing environment.
- Confident in managing audits, implementing improvements, and maintaining compliance standards.
- Proficient IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
