Responsibilities : • Supervising children's play and encouraging physical, social and emotional development. • Providing a warm, stimulating, and varied programme of play. Their daily routine should offer a wide variety of play activities and always allow for flexibility as the situation/occasion/child demands and promote the safety and well-being of all children. • Planning, documenting, implementing, and reviewing curriculum weekly so as to provide for the children's physical, emotional, social, linguistic and cognitive development. • Staff are available to work with children of all ages, from babies to afterschool. • Staff will be involved in preforming a variety of tasks including but not limited to, intimate care needs (i.e. nappy changing, toileting), sterilising, feeding, nap supervision and engaging in play. • Carry out essential observation and continuous assessment and ensuring all is documented. • Arrive for your shift in adequate time to organise your belongings • Create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, which establishes in the children a feeling of security and trust and shows an understanding for the children as individuals and as a group. • Be ready to welcome the children when they arrive, ensuring all children feel welcome and safe. • Together with the manager identifying additional needs and plan for appropriate interventions either within the services provided or by outer professionals. • Working together as a team, supporting each other through the daily routine. Requirements: • Experience working in the field. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to maintain a positive approach in a sometimes-challenging environment. • Caring and empathetic nature. • A second language would be an advantage. • A positive 'can do' attitude and an enthusiasm for providing exceptional service to meet the needs of the company is required.
