
Group EHS Business Support Manager - Ireland/Europe

- Oversee, develop and implement the JEG H&S risk, compliance and assurance framework including policies, standards, procedures and guidance
- Benchmark risk, compliance and assurance programme regularly with internal functions including IT, Finance, HR & Quality and external peers & industry leaders
- Oversee the delivery of the Site Risk Assessment programme
- Lead general companywide EHS communications including Weekly Incident Summary, External Safety Communications etc.
- Oversee the facilitation of the Incident Categorisation process
- Oversee the development and implementation of the EHS Training programme
- Own H&S compliance documentation and audit the programme to cross check implementation
- Oversee the maintenance and improvement of internal systems such as the MSDS Platform, Subcontractor Compliance Programme, Dulann etc
- Work with Quality to ensure that all effective and approved documentation is maintained centrally in line with ISO 9001 standards
- Oversee the Legal Register Service and manage third party providing the service
- Manage a small team of EHS support personnel in the delivery of these responsibilities
- Prepare and report on performance of programme at specific internals and on an ad hoc basis as required
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders including Operations, Engineering, Privacy, IT, Procurement, HR, Legal, Finance to identify opportunities for simplification and harmonisation etc
- Experience in governance, risk and compliance
- Knowledge and experience of implementing processes, systems and training
- Strong, professional written and verbal communications skills to interact with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills and be comfortable at influencing leadership
- People and Performance management experience
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues and challenges
- Ability to foster strong working relationships across different departments and with external partners essential
- Strong ability to plan, schedule, work with deadlines, and manage future planning effectively
- Capacity to thrive and be resilient in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment
- Level 8 Degree in a Risk Management based discipline e.g. H&S, Quality, IT, Finance, HR etc
- Formal Project Management experience and qualifications
- Green Belt Lean Six Sigma or be working towards
- This role can be located anywhere where JEG have a significant presence including Ireland, UK, Sweden, Denmark, or Middle East
- The role holder will be required to travel abroad occasionally to sites within the JEG company for training, audit, meetings and programme launch purposes circa 10-20% per month
