Assistant Deli Manager

• Support the Deli Manager in the day-to-day running of the deli department
• Ensure high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation are consistently maintained
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service
• Assist with stock control, ordering, waste management, and margin performance
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations
• Monitor sales performance and help identify opportunities to drive revenue
• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation, and merchandising
• Step in to manage the department in the absence of the Deli Manager
• Work closely with store management and other departments to ensure smooth operations

• Previous experience in a deli supervisory or senior deli role within a supermarket, convenience store, or forecourt
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and develop a team
• Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
• Experience working towards sales and margin targets
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Passion for fresh food and delivering high standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings and weekends
