We are seeking an experienced Roads Design Engineer to join a Highways and Transportation team based in Cork (Galway and Dublin are also options). This role is ideal for a self-driven and adaptable professional ready to take on a variety of responsibilities in planning and designing transport infrastructure across Ireland.Key Responsibilities:

Engage in the planning and design of road, rail, public transport, and active travel projects.
Support statutory processes, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAR) and Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO).
Contribute to procurement processes and preparation of detailed contract documents.
Manage contract administration and supervise construction activities.
Conduct feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design for road schemes, adhering to relevant standards.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a consultancy environment, specifically in transport project planning and design.
Degree in Engineering (Level 8/9) and actively working towards Chartered Engineer status.
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads.
Knowledge of local design standards with the ability to create practical, cost-effective designs.
Previous experience in design-and-build project delivery is advantageous.
Full Irish/EU driving license is required.
