Senior Road Design Engineer

- Lead the planning and design of road, rail, public transport, and active travel projects across Ireland.
- Participate in statutory processes, including Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) and Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO).
- Prepare detailed contract documents, oversee contract administration, and provide construction supervision.
- Conduct feasibility studies and manage design phases for road and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
- Significant experience in a consultancy setting, with a strong background in road scheme development, feasibility studies, and both preliminary and detailed design.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Level 8/9).
- Chartered Engineer status or eligibility to attain it within the next 12 months.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads.
- Knowledge of Irish design standards (TII / NTA) and proven ability to implement value-driven, buildable designs.
- Prior experience with design-and-build projects is advantageous.
- Full Irish/EU driving license required.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to project demands with a positive, solutions-oriented approach.
