We are working exclusively with an Irish business seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to support financial reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making within a growing finance team. This role offers exposure to all core areas of accounting and finance, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and process improvement.Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support performance improvement.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Coordinate with auditors, manage statutory filings, and support tax planning.
Drive process improvements and contribute to financial systems optimization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years' experience in finance/accounting.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance.
Experience with Sage.
Background in private equity.
