You’ll collaborate with Advisory Service Line Leadership and other internal and external client service delivery teams to ensure that our engagements are staffed to support quality execution while delivering a remarkable experience for our people.From day one, you’ll be empowered by our strategic approach to resource management and focus on developing deep, trusting relationships with key stakeholders to confidently influence outcomes that support both firm and C&RM business objectives.Responsibilities:
- Partnering with service line leadership and engagement leads to identify and manage availability and to fulfill roles (onshore and offshore)
- Providing analysis around key metrics such as availability, utilization and open role status
- Identifying issues, trends and forecast vs. actual variances to drive operational excellence
- Resolving staffing conflicts and navigating escalations with the support of the business. Proposing creative alternatives while understanding prioritization
- Serving as a point of contact for available team members within assigned coverage areas
- Understanding the teams technical and relevant skills, interests and capacity to best align talent
- Acquiring and maintaining deep knowledge of clients and skills needs to support quality project execution
- Identifying needs that cannot be fulfilled by upcoming supply and collaborating with Service line leadership and Talent Acquisition team to ensure requisitions opened and filled
- Maintaining a steady pulse on resource shortages and surpluses in assigned coverage areas
- Collaborating/engaging with Resource Manager colleagues and the business (onshore and offshore) to encourage resource sharing across all areas within the firm
- Partnering with People & Culture (P&C) teams to understand resource performance and collaborating with P&C to ensure scheduling decisions support development and growth of professional staff
- Minimizing operational impact from employee turnover by implementing effective backfill strategies
- Influencing retention through effective relationship management by understanding and aligning to employee preferences and career goals
- Providing information to relevant colleagues for the monthly forecast process to include shortages/surpluses, headcount management, and opportunities to increase utilization
- Participating in practice-wide strategic initiatives and projects in support of resource management strategy
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
- A strong understanding of the firm’s business and operations as well as business acumen
- Excellent organizational skills, executive presence, deadline-oriented and flexibility to meet changing needs of the role
- Strong leadership and presentation skills: ability to clearly communicate complex messages, verbal and written, to a variety of audiences
- Ability to manage upward and drive results
- Ability to set and manage expectations with professionals
- Ability to consistently contribute in a fast-paced environment

- Demonstrate proficiency and experience In Microsoft Office suite especially Microsoft Excel
- 5+ years of experience in Advisory and/or Resource Management at a professional services firm, preferred
- Experience with Resource Management tools (eg. Dayshape)
- Experience with data visualization tools
