Responsibilities:
- Lead on and be responsible for the core financial functions of the Group.
- Work collaboratively to perform all tasks necessary to achieve the organisation's mission with ultimate responsibility for the management of resources and financial planning for the organisation
- Participate as a member of the management team and to attend all board and relevant sub board meetings as required in order to ensure the efficient execution of the agreed strategy
- Accountable for the provision of accurate, timely and current financial to the Senior Management Team, the wider management group, relevant Board sub-committees and the Boards of Directors to facilitate good financial planning and decision-making
- Oversee the sound financial management and all fiscal reporting activities, including organisational income/expenditure and balance sheet reports and the development and monitoring of organisational budgets
- Overall responsibility for the management, development and day-to-day financial operations within the organisation including payroll, pensions, cash control and time management systems
- Leading on the annual budget planning process, both capital and revenue, and monitoring of actual performance against budget on a monthly basis
- In conjunction with the heads of department, ensuring completion of annual budgets in advance of agreed deadlines
- Responsible for analysing, categorising and managing all areas of potential financial risk and instituting policies and procedures to deal with identified risks and the continuous review of control measures
Membership of a recognised accountancy body
3years + experience in a financial management role in a healthcare setting, or equivalent
Excellent knowledge of Sage line 50
Experience and a demonstrated track record of managing a significant annual budget
Experience in regular finance reporting and financial accounting processes including achievement of monthly and annual deadlines with multiple stakeholders
Experience in dealing with large volumes of complex data in a large organisation
Experience of financial risk management, including analysing and categorising potential risks, instituting policies and procedures to deal with identified risks and the continuous review of risk control measuresEvelyn MulcahySenior Recruiter
