Apply today.The Role.GMC are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our growing team. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings and designs for utility projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Key Responsibilities:· Prepare and update CAD drawings for utility projects in line with project specifications.· Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet client and regulatory requirements.· Maintain drawing registers and ensure document control procedures are followed.· Assist in producing as-built drawings upon project completion.· Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.· Support the wider design team with technical queries and problem-solving.The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:· Proven experience as a CAD Technician, ideally within the utilities, civil engineering, or construction sectors.· Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with other design software is an advantage).· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical work.· Strong organisational and communication skills.Become a part of something bigger.At the heart of GMC is our people, from engineers through to customer service and we aim to work collaboratively towards our common goals.GMC is an equal opportunity employer, and we aim to recruit and retain like-minded people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of expertise.
