We're now looking for an experienced Assistant Manager.Reporting to the Associate Director of the Client Services team, the primary objective of this role is to provide exceptional accounting services, oversight and financial guidance for a varied portfolio of special purpose vehicles (SPVs), with a focus on structured finance and aviation. This includes assisting in managing the accounting team to ensure delivery of quality service to corporate, financial institution and investment fund clients, while maintaining compliance and supporting business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management: Assist in supervising the accounting team, ensuring high levels of performance, compliance, and professional development. Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team. Support the Associate Director in managing team resources for optimal efficiency and service. Assist with monitoring workload, skills, and capacity within the team.Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and regulatory filings in line with relevant accounting standards for SPVs (IFRS/local GAAP). Coordinate the audit processes and help ensure ongoing compliance with tax, regulatory and statutory requirements, adapting processes for client and industry needsTax Compliance: Oversee and ensure compliance with all relevant tax matters for client SPVs, including the accurate preparation and submission of VAT, FATCA/CRS returnsTransactional Support: Act as a key contact for accounting queries on Irish SPV transactions-covering structured finance, securitizations, CLOs, aviation, and similar structures. Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel as requiredProcess & Control Implementation: Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, control, and compliance. Review and adapt processes as needed for evolving transaction types and regulatory requirementsStakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including clients, directors, legal and compliance teams, and external advisors. Communicate proactively to ensure client and regulatory needs are metClient Billing Support: Support the billing process to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency for accounting services providedClient Onboarding: Support the onboarding of new accounting clients, ensuring effective information gathering and smooth handover. Maintain onboarding processes tailored for the requirements of Irish SPVs, focusing on positive first impressions and ongoing client satisfactionClient Directorships: Participate as required in client directorships, upholding high governance standards and ensuring all directorship responsibilities are met in accordance with Irish law and Ogier policiesSkills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Experience supervising or managing accounting teams
  • Proven experience in accounting for Irish SPVs, including aviation, securitizations, structured finance, debt capital markets, and regulatory requirements
  • Awareness of tax and regulatory environment for Irish SPVs
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP and reporting requirements for SPVs
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage complex tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client service
