- Serve as a contact point and collaborate with other infrastructure and software teams to ensure scalability, runtime environment, and stability.
- Remotely manage and monitor server hosts in multiple colocations across Europe.
- Maintain and manage the batch scheduling environment and monitoring systems.
- Manage and prioritise requests from internal IT support functions.
- Diagnose issues and troubleshoot existing application configurations.
- Set up and maintain tools that monitor for alerts and test new system changes.
- Continuously evaluate, improve, and deploy new application versions.
- Manage project work, including hardware refreshes, environment optimisation, software configurations, change management, and release management.
- Excellent IT analytical and troubleshooting skills, with extensive experience tracing problems through log file analysis and understanding application/systems logic (e.g., routing paths).
- Experience with or supporting a batch scheduling system is an advantage.
- Experience with application monitoring and analytical tools such as Splunk and Check_mk.
- A B.S. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. Knowledge of or a desire to develop networked application systems, including exposure to database environments and Windows (2012, 2019).
