We are seeking 3 experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to service, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications, Irish road safety regulations, and company standards. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in HGVs, trailers, and associated equipment. Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections in accordance with RSA (Road Safety Authority) guidelines. Repair and replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems. Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults accurately. Prepare vehicles for CVRT (Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test) and ensure compliance with Irish road safety legislation. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Work with manufacturers' manuals and technical data. Follow company health, safety, and environmental policies. Assist in breakdown recovery and roadside repairs when required. Keep workshop tools and equipment in safe working order. Skills & Requirements Minimum 2 years' experience working with heavy goods vehicles. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to use modern diagnostic tools and software. Understanding of CVRT and Irish transport safety regulations. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Remuneration for this role is €34,000.00 per year based on 39 hours per week.
