This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the most dynamic and innovative categories in our business, supporting the delivery of trend-led, customer-focused product ranges that define our beauty experience.Working closely with the Buyer, Assistant Buyer and cross-functional teams, you will play an essential role in managing team administrative tasks, placing orders, managing product data, supporting supplier relationships, and coordinating buying processes to ensure the department delivers on sales, margin, and stock objectives. The role requires strong systems capability, numerical confidence, and an understanding of how accurate ordering and stock availability directly support sales - particularly across core NOS (Never Out of Stock) SKUs. This is an operational role critical to the day-to-day effectiveness of the buying function.This is a full-time permanent position.Key Responsibilities:Support the Beauty Buying team in achieving departmental targets through accurate data management and administrative excellencePlace purchase orders quickly, accurately, and in line with agreed stock, OTB, and inventory controlsEnsure all purchases, allocations, and replenishment activity are correct and aligned with stock and sales objectivesMaintain pricing, cost, and currency accuracy across all relevant systemsManage continuity orders and coordinate stock flow from supplier to warehouse and storesBuild and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal partners including Retail Operations, Logistics, and FinanceSupport with setting up promotions and product launches & raise corresponding supplier reportsAssist with reporting and performance tracking for the departmentStay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and new brand opportunities within the beauty categoryProvide daily operational and administrative support to ensure seamless execution across the Buying and Merchandising functionKNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 1–2 years ‘experience in a Buying or Merchandising role, preferably within beauty or retail
  • Qualification in Buying, Merchandising, or a related discipline
  • Advanced Excel skills with a strong analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Highly organised, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive in supporting team goals
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates commercial awareness and a passion for retail
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and high performance
  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and alignment to Brown Thomas Arnotts’ Vision, Purpose, and Values
