Role & Responsibilities Our people are the heart of our business. We currently have an opportunity for a Payroll Analyst to join our Finance team.Working as part of the wider Payroll team the main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing specific payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with Government regulations.
  • Preparing standardized and ad-hoc payroll related reports and analytics as required for senior management.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely data exchange, resolve issues, and streamline payroll processes.
  • Monitoring and implementing statutory updates for regulations relating to payroll.
  • Supporting all audits that take place, be it internal or external.
  • Ensuring month and year-end payroll returns are complete.
  • Maintaining all payroll records as required by revenue and Data Retention Records.
  • Understanding and applying company policy as and when required e.g. company sick pay benefit entitlement.
  • Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance on payroll policies and procedures.
  • Updating Core with all new starter, leaver and employee change information to ensure such is accurate and processed in timely manner.
  • Participate in the implementation and testing of payroll systems and software upgrades.
  • Being a team player and covering other team members' activities during periods of holidays & sickness.
Experience, Skills & Education
  • A relevant payroll qualification such as IPASS
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst, Payroll Specialist or similar role
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar Payroll position
  • Strong technical and analytical skills including extensive knowledge of Excel
  • In depth knowledge of Revenue payroll, Tax and Social Welfare regulations
  • Experience in Core and Oracle an advantage
  • High level of initiative with a strong sense of responsibility, high level of accuracy and great attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines consistently and work on own initiative
