Gi Group is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join an established Engineering team in Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and managing engineering projects across two production sites, delivering new installations and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead engineering projects in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards and internal quality requirements
Manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required standards
Drive and support health, safety, and environmental compliance across all project activities
Develop and implement project plans, design specifications, and testing protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Apply change management processes and oversee associated documentation
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Manage project budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) during internal and external audits
Collaborate effectively with internal departments, contractors, and third-party vendors
Provide occasional out-of-hours support to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Desirable:
Project Management qualification or training
5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Background in construction, facility systems, utilities, or pharmaceutical processing
Experience in commissioning
Knowledge of pharmaceutical or medical device industries
