Hobson Prior is seeking a PMU Team Lead to permanently join a biotech organization. In this role, you will oversee the production of advanced therapeutic medicinal products (ATMPs) in a licensed facility, ensuring high-quality standards, safety, and compliance. You will lead a team of scientists and technicians, focusing on timely product delivery, team development, and continuous improvement.Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.Responsibilities:Production & Scheduling
  • Ensure timely manufacturing of products in line with agreed production schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and resolve delays.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and manage a team of bioprocessing scientists and technicians.
  • Provide training, coaching, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Organize and oversee team training and personal development plans.
GMP Compliance & Documentation
  • Approve GMP documentation and oversee activities within the licensed ATMP facility.
  • Ensure all work complies with GMP, data integrity, and documentation standards.
  • Complete and close GMP records accurately and within required timelines.
Quality Assurance & Audits
  • Maintain the facility in an inspection-ready state at all times.
  • Conduct self-inspections, address quality issues promptly, and lead audit tours.
Safety & Risk Management
  • Promote safety awareness and ensure tasks are performed safely.
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety protocols.
Continuous Improvement
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and support team-led initiatives to enhance processes.
Cleanroom & Facility Standards
  • Uphold high standards for cleanroom behavior, cleaning, and material handling.
  • Supervise contract cleaning staff to ensure compliance with GxP standards.
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ATMP production, and quality compliance.
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop team members.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and safety protocols.
  • Experience maintaining inspection-ready facilities and handling audits.
  • Proficiency in documentation practices and continuous improvement systems.
  • Understanding of cleanroom operations and GxP standards.
