We hire students majoring in (Engineering/ Science/ Quality) into our programs based on business needs. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.Abbott’s global business offers opportunities to work across a range of fields, which may include the following areas, along with additional activities depending on business needs:Sample Projects at Abbott Nutrition Division, Cavan· Packing Compliance Project: Support daily compliance activities and lead 1–2 smaller initiatives contributing to the broader Compliance Improvement Project.· Site Zoning & Sustainability Project: Assist with engineering, facilities, and utility-related tasks focused on zoning and sustainability enhancements across the site.Sample Projects at Abbott Diabetes Care, Donegal· Support and optimize manufacturing operations through oversight of operating systems, use of digital tools (e.g., Hanel Soft, Fishbowl, Maximo, Power BI), system upgrades, and process efficiency improvements related to spare parts and consumables.· Drive continuous improvement initiatives by developing dashboards, leading cross-functional projects, ensuring compliance with policies, and contributing to areas like fermentation development and resource utilization across the business.· Project EngineeringSample Projects at Abbott Diabetes Care, Kilkenny· Project EngineeringSample Project at Core Dx Longford· Automation InstallationSample Projects at Abbott Nutrition Division, Sligo· Assist in the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions for ongoing projects.

Contribute to CAD modeling, simulations, and technical documentation.
