- Serve and prepare drink orders for patrons to the highest standard.
- Ensure prompt, friendly, and consistent customer service at all times.
- Actively engage with customers and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the bar.
- Team/People Management
- Lead and supervise the bar team during service.
- Assist in the recruitment process for staff
- Train, mentor, and schedule bar staff in line with operational needs.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement staff development initiatives.
- Operations & Compliance
- Manage day-to-day bar operations including opening and closing procedures as required.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, food safety, and HACCP standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and hygiene standards across all bar and service areas.
- Assisting in the process of cashing up tills.
- Stock & Cost Control
- Oversee stock management: ordering, receiving, storage, and usage tracking.
- Monitor wastage and implement cost control measures.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality, value, and efficiency.
- Event Coordination & Support
- Support the planning and execution of private functions, parties, and larger events.
- Collaborate with kitchen and events teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Contribute to revenue growth by identifying upselling opportunities and promotions.
- Leadership & Communication
- Act as the key point of contact between ownership/management and the bar team.
- Maintain effective communication across departments.
- Represent the business professionally at all times and uphold brand standards.
- Liaise with business owners as required on key decisions.
- Proven experience in a similar Bar Manager or Head Bartender role in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of bar operations, stock control, and licensing regulations.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to work evenings and weekends as required.
- A hands-on manager who leads by example and thrives in a busy setting.
- Must have own transport.
