This is a hands-on management role. Approximately 65–70% of your time will be spent behind the bar, actively engaging with customers and leading the team from the front.Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery to Customers
  • Serve and prepare drink orders for patrons to the highest standard.
  • Ensure prompt, friendly, and consistent customer service at all times.
  • Actively engage with customers and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the bar.
  • Team/People Management
  • Lead and supervise the bar team during service.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for staff
  • Train, mentor, and schedule bar staff in line with operational needs.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement staff development initiatives.
  • Operations & Compliance
  • Manage day-to-day bar operations including opening and closing procedures as required.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, food safety, and HACCP standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and hygiene standards across all bar and service areas.
  • Assisting in the process of cashing up tills.
  • Stock & Cost Control
  • Oversee stock management: ordering, receiving, storage, and usage tracking.
  • Monitor wastage and implement cost control measures.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality, value, and efficiency.
  • Event Coordination & Support
  • Support the planning and execution of private functions, parties, and larger events.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and events teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Contribute to revenue growth by identifying upselling opportunities and promotions.
  • Leadership & Communication
  • Act as the key point of contact between ownership/management and the bar team.
  • Maintain effective communication across departments.
  • Represent the business professionally at all times and uphold brand standards.
  • Liaise with business owners as required on key decisions.
Requirements & Ideal Profile
  • Proven experience in a similar Bar Manager or Head Bartender role in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of bar operations, stock control, and licensing regulations.
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • A hands-on manager who leads by example and thrives in a busy setting.
  • Must have own transport.
