- Business Analysis activities across a broad range of transformation projects across our market market management, energy management and/or corporate solutions.
- Gathering requirements from key stakeholders and experts across the business, translating complex business requirements, or abstract concepts into deliverable requirements.
- Inputting to the development of business cases and proposals
- Preparing and leading formal requirements gathering sessions and workshops with experts across the business, demonstrating an ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff
- Working withexternal and internal stakeholders, strategic partners and vendors in the definition and delivery of effective solutions aligned to the business strategy
- Identifying potential risks, gaps and issues
- Facilitating requirements prioritisation and enabling the business to make effective decisions
- Production of required documentation including business conceptual overviews, user stories, day-in-the-life of, business capability analysis, requirements documents, data flows, system integration flows, process maps and business/functional specifications.
- Development of business requirements documentation from draft through to sign-off, complying with required methodologies and governance processes
- Work with the business to understand and develop functional requirements to support solution designs
- Assisting the business with change impacts analysis, training strategies, planning and execution
- Responsible for change request management throughout the lifecycle of developments, projects and operational changes
- Provide innovative ideas and solutions drawing on external best practice and expertise.
- Degree in engineering, business, economics or other relevant qualifications, with 4 plus years practical experience in Analysis activities (i.e. requirement gathering, creating specifications, workshop facilitation, business process design, reports design and business process modelling); ideally but not essentially in the utility or energy sectors
- Experienced in writing and presenting technical and non-technical reports
- A good understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Detail oriented with an ability to understand customer needs
- Ability to operate with both agile and waterfall methodologies
- Ability to work with others and to collaborate with a diverse range of people to arrive at the optimum solutions.
