Mechanical Trade Maintenance Technician - Cork

- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Support equipment changeovers, calibrations, and validations as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed in line with GMP and ALCOA+ principles.Compliance & Documentation- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations.
- Complete documentation (e.g., CMMS, logbooks, work orders) to required standards.
- Participate in audits and inspections, providing technical input and documentation as needed.Team Collaboration- Work closely with cross-functional teams including E&I technicians, operations, and quality.
- Participate in daily shift handovers and weekly team meetings.
- Support training and mentoring of junior technicians where applicable.Continuous Improvement- Identify opportunities for equipment reliability improvements and cost savings.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Support implementation of site-wide capability frameworks and upskilling initiatives.Qualifications & Experience- Recognized Mechanical Trade Qualification (e.g., QQI Level 6 or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance role within a GMP/pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems including pumps, valves, HVAC, and utilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and GMP documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, regulated environment.Desirable Skills- Experience with cleanroom environments and aseptic processes.
- Knowledge of EHS standards and participation in safety audits.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
