Excel Recruitment is currently hiring a skilled Chef to work in healthcare facilities across the Cork area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for residents while upholding the highest standards of food safety and dietary compliance.Key Responsibilities:

Meal Preparation & Cooking: preparing meals that meet residents specific dietary requirements, ensuring nutritional value and taste.
Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen work-flow efficiently, maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation.
Food Safety & Hygiene: Uphold strict cleanliness and hygiene protocols in line with HACCP and healthcare standards.
Collaborative Service: Work alongside dietitians and healthcare staff to ensure meals align with medical needs and preferences.
Menu Development: Support the creation of varied, balanced menus and accommodate special dietary requests.

What We’re Looking For:

Garda Vetting: Mandatory for all candidates (Excel will coordinate this process).
Manual Handling Certification: Required; training can be provided if needed.
HACCP Certification: Essential; must have knowledge of food safety procedures (training available if not certified).
A driver would be an advantage due to some of the site locations.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Flexibility: Willingness to work different shifts, including weekends.
