Implement and maintain the Health and Safety Management System across the facility, ensuring compliance with Irish and EU legislation.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate H&S activities and audits to maintain compliance with company and legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with management to set H&S objectives, review policies, and recommend improvements.
- Oversee risk assessments, accident investigations, and implement prevention programs.
- Design and coordinate H&S training programs and ensure staff awareness of safety practices.
- Monitor H&S performance and report findings to management and the Safety Committee.
- Support emergency response planning and conduct evacuation drills.
- Work with HR to manage legal claims, insurance, and related documentation.
- Advise on H&S compliance for new designs, line changes, and management of change processes.
- Manage chemical safety, SOP development, and regulatory compliance.
- NQF Level 7 Diploma/Degree in Health and Safety or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Health and Safety role.
- Proven ability to drive change and develop H&S processes within a management structure.
- Desirable: experience with ISO/OSHAS standards, environmental or sustainability management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Previous management experience preferred.
