Role Type: Permanent | Full-TimeAbout the RoleOptimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established civil engineering contractor involved in the delivery of public realm, infrastructure, and local authority projects across Dublin and the wider Leinster region. Projects can focus on the Road Corridor, Energy, and works with Public Authorities.The successful candidate will support project teams with cost management, reporting, and subcontractor engagement, while also ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level QS to join a busy commercial team working on high-profile public infrastructure contracts.Salary & Benefits

- Provide commercial support to project teams from pre-construction through to handover
- Ensure accurate and timely cost/value reporting at project and business unit level
- Support the preparation of CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and commercial strategy plans
- Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and financial administration
- Liaise with local authorities, utilities, and other third-party stakeholders
- Monitor and challenge project costs and resource usage
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of commercial procedures and controls
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure cohesive project delivery
- Support and liaise with senior members of the commercial team
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- 2–5 years' experience in the civil engineering or infrastructure sector
- Strong knowledge of contracts and current construction law
- Proven experience in cost reporting and subcontractor management
- Familiarity with public works contracts and local authority projects
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines under pressure
- Confident team player with strong communication and reporting skills
- Irish/UK experience is highly advantageous
