- Guiding the team and organization on how to adopt Agile/Scrum practices, processes and values.
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
- Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- Facilitating team ceremonies, such as the daily stand-up, sprint planning, end of sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
- Acting as the conscience of the team, especially when evaluating “Doneness” or “Readiness” criteria.
- Supporting the team on the use of planning tools to enable tracking of progress with User Stories and Features via Sprint and Release Burndowns.
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
- Acting as a shield for the team from outside distractions and interferences.
- A bachelor’s or master’s Degree in IT/Computer Science.
- An experienced Scrum Master with a minimum of Scrum Alliance CSM certification (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of overall experience of working in a Software Development organization (Aviation industry preferred).
- 3+ Years of Experience in practicing Scrum Methodology in the process of software development & delivery.
- 2+ years of Experience in applying Agile Manifesto in the process of software development & delivery.
- Possess a rudimentary understanding of Scaled Agile Framework.
- Experience in managing change in the production environment.
- Knowledge of various IT tools and techniques for IT project planning and organizing.
- Knowledge of collaborating techniques to promote a culture of working together to meet business goals.
- Knowledge of Agile Project Management Tactics.
- Knowledge of best practices of group facilitation to elicit contributions from others to achieve a desired outcome
