Our client, a leading civil and transportation consultancy, is seeking a Chartered Engineer to join their growing team in Kilkenny. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on diverse road, safety, and transport projects, while taking on senior responsibilities within a dynamic consultancy environment.Role Overview:
You will take a senior engineering role within the team, working under the direction of Directors and senior colleagues. The position will focus on road safety audits, inspections, and traffic management, with opportunities for professional growth and development.Key Responsibilities:Manage and carry out inspections on Temporary Traffic Management schemesComplete Temporary Safety Measures Inspection ReportsManage and carry out Road Safety InspectionsLead and participate in Road Safety Audits as Team Member or Team LeaderRequirements:Chartered Engineer status (minimum)Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (accredited by Engineers Ireland or equivalent)5+ years’ experience in civil/roads/transportation projectsExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsFull driving licenceDesirable Skills:Certificate in Temporary Traffic Management Design (Level 1 & 2 Roads) and InspectionIOSH Managing Safely in Construction trainingFamiliarity with TII Publications, Traffic Signs Manual, and Irish H&S legislation (including Construction Regulations)What’s on Offer:Permanent, full-time employmentCompetitive salary, commensurate with experiencePaid professional membership and expensesCareer progression opportunities within a supportive, experienced teamCommitment to continuous professional development
