- Meets regularly with investment partners to develop productive relationships, to investigate, evaluate, compile and summarise investment ideas with a view towards identifying potential new product launches, evolving existing solutions and unearthing relevant market intelligence.
- Helps organise periodical distributor workshops structured to reach a consensus on future product launches and knowledge on market trends.
- Seeks to always ensure that the company has a competitive offering in the marketplace and will speak up to this effect.
- Must have an executive presence in order to drive and challenge other internal teams, including the investments team.
- Develops MIO's analytics capability and use of existing reporting tools as they relate to proprietary client data and databases, to identify behavioural triggers to incorporate into future commercial products or services.
- Develops MIO's proprietary product development process MedInSynC, streamlining existing processes to encompass evolving commercial and regulatory requirements.
- Provides ongoing feedback as required, as well as regular coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Builds and maintains a steady and significant flow of quantitative and qualitative inputs to enable actionable Product Development insights utilising subscribed databases such as Broadridge, Morningstar and Mercer insights as well as leading news sources such as Citywire, Ignites Europe, Fund Radar and Funds Europe.
- Undertakes competitor research at an overall industry, individual firm and individual strategy level.
- Evaluates and recommends optimal products to prioritise for promotion accounting for anticipated market trends.
- Pro-actively recommends alterations/improvements to the evolve the existing product family
- Works with investments, distributors and other key stakeholders to ensure a robust and driven offering of products.
- Genuine passion for financial markets and desire to work on the structuring and, management of innovative solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict time lines while managing multiple priorities.
- Capable of working both on your own or as part of a wider team.
- Strong analytical and communication skills in English (both oral & written).
- Analytical approach and an ability to express your views commercially.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Knowledge of Morningstar/Broadridge is an advantage.
- Relevant degree/masters (Business Studies, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications).
- Good knowledge of Investment Markets; the main asset classes. return drivers, risk, manager styles, managed solutions.
