Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit an Accounts Receivable Assistant for our manufacturing client based in Co. Westmeath, you will play a key role in supporting the Financial Controller with day-to-day accounting operations. Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the Financial Controller with day-to-day finance operations across accounts payable and receivable.
- Raise and process sales invoices, manage payment claims, and follow up on outstanding debtor balances.
- Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and prepare supplier payments.
- Monitor daily finance communications, responding promptly to both customer and supplier queries.
- Reconcile customer and supplier accounts, ensuring accurate allocation of payments and receipts.
- Prepare Debtors Reports, Intrastat & VIES Revenue reporting, and assist with month-end procedures.
- Update and maintain internal finance systems with accurate and timely data.
- Maintain and update SOP documentation for finance processes.
- Participate in weekly finance meetings, providing updates on both payables and receivables.
- 2+ years' experience as an accounts assistant.
- Strong accounting knowledge with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 and MS Office, particularly Excel (including formulas).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with both customers and suppliers.
- A proactive team player who can prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
