We are currently supporting our client in their search for a Maintenance Technician to join their high-performing engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a company that values continuous improvement, safety, and technical excellence in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:As Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production and packaging equipment. Your main responsibilities will include:Minimising unplanned downtime through proactive maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns.Enhancing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by improving machine performance and reliability.Participating in the ongoing Technician Training Program to support personal and team development.Executing preventative maintenance work orders across a range of equipment.Providing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting support across production lines.Carrying out annual overhaul maintenance and participating in line changeovers.Supporting a culture of continuous improvement and contributing to safety and reliability initiatives.Monitoring line performance and making real-time adjustments where necessary.Completing and maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.Ensuring any follow-up maintenance needs are communicated promptly to the relevant supervisor.Training apprentices, contractors, and peers on best practices in maintenance and changeover procedures.Supporting plant housekeeping standards and conducting safety audits and risk assessments as needed.Taking part in innovation by proposing and implementing process improvements or modifications.Qualifications & Experience Required:National Craft Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Trades, or a related Level 6/7 qualification.A minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance technician role within a GMP-regulated or high-volume manufacturing environment.Demonstrated mechanical or electrical expertise in production and packaging settings.Strong working knowledge of utilities, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyor systems, and purified water systems.Solid organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for continuous improvement.
