- Manage multiple projects to maximise commercial returns while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Track project deliverables and ensure commercial and administrative systems, budgets, and cost control procedures are effectively implemented
- Lead the commercial planning and execution of projects
- Review tender documentation in detail to identify risks and opportunities
- Monitor project performance to ensure delivery on time and within budget
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with project teams
- Report on actual costs versus estimates, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures
- Prepare and present reports outlining project progress, risks, and solutions
- Ensure proactive cost control and financial management throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to support client objectives
- Review and approve subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure subcontracts are properly prepared and managed in line with agreed scope
- Maintain contractual correspondence in accordance with contract terms, including detailed analysis of claims, variations, and EOT notifications
- Ensure all project team members understand contractual obligations and requirements
- Manage and support commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Build and maintain strong client and PQS relationships
- Support collaboration across project teams and stakeholders
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
- 6+ years’ experience in quantity surveying within construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (RIAI, FIDIC, JCT, etc.)
- Proven commercial acumen with the ability to manage costs and risks effectively
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and reporting ability
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
